Tier 3 Support Engineer
Tier 3 support Engineer required to provide technical support tor Squire Technologies global customer base.
Candidate will be responsible for providing in depth technical support for Squire Technologies Global customers.
- Will be responsible for assisting Tier 1 and 2 personnel in solving technical problems and investigating escalated issues by confirming the validity of the problem and seeking solutions for more complex issues.
- Installation duties, remote and onsite, the candidate should be willing to travel to worldwide installation sites.
- The candidate should be able to provide regular customer feedback regarding resolutions and updates and be able to build an advanced customer relationship.
- Work alongside Engineering team to provide solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Extensive product and protocol knowledge
- Should be able to provide demo’s and training Ability to ascertain appropriate information and provide solutions for cases.
- Should be able to provide technical support for the rest of the team. C++ and Linux essential.

Senior Software Engineer
Senior software Engineer required to join and expand the Squire Technologies development team.
- Involvement and growing responsibility for all aspects of the lifecycle of a software project
- Bug fixing
- Providing Technical back up for the support team
- Defining tests and new software development
- The majority of software stacks are written and maintained in house however there is the need to integrate 3rd party hardware.
- Protocols supported are: VoIP; SIP and H.323. TDM Signalling: SS7, ISDN, R2 etc. Media Gateway control: MGCP and MEGACOL (H.248)
- Minimum requirements: JAVA and SQL.
- Desirable: Telecoms C, a good knowledge of IP/ SIP/ TCP/ UDP/ RTP/ RTCP, 2 +years programming experience.

Tier 1 Support Engineer - UK
Salary £14,000 per annum dependent on experience
Tier 1 support Engineer required for the Squire Technologies Office in Dorchester.
Duties Include
- Initial support level responsible for basic customer issues
- Gather the customer’s information to determine the customer’s issue by analyzing the symptoms and figuring out the underlying problem. Log accurately the customer problem
- Identify and log what the customer is trying to accomplish so that time is not wasted on attempting to solve a symptom instead of a problem. Sort through the possible solutions available using appropriate knowledge management tool
- Employ troubleshooting methods such as verifying physical layer issues, resolving username and password problems, verification of proper hardware and software set up, and assistance with navigating around application menus
- Personnel at this level have a basic-to-general understanding of the product or service and may not always have the competency required for solving complex issues
- Escalation to Tier 2
- They should provide regular customer feedback at appropriate times (e.g. as stipulated in new customer feedback date field in CRM tool)
Basic Skills:

Tier 2 Support Engineer - India (New Delhi)
Salary 5 Lakh per annum dependent on experience
Tier 2 support Engineer required for the Squire New Delhi Office (Squiretel). Squiretel is responsible for Squire Technologies Limited customer support operations globally.
Duties Include
- More in-depth technical support level than Tier I containing experienced and more knowledgeable personnel on product or service.
- Responsible for assisting Tier I personnel to solve basic technical problems and for investigating escalated issues by confirming the validity of the problem and seeking for known solutions related to these more complex issues
- To confirm Tier 1 information and request further info from Tier 1 if appropriate.
- Review the Case to see what has already been accomplished by the Tier I technician and how long the technician has been working with the particular customer to enable a correct allocation of priority to the Case
- Deployment of specialised troubleshooting solutions to help ensure the intricacies of a challenging issue is captured. This may include, but is not limited to onsite installations or replacements of various hardware components, software repair, diagnostic testing, and the utilization of remote control tools used to take over the user’s machine for the sole purpose of troubleshooting and finding a solution to the problem.
- They should provide regular customer feedback at appropriate times (e.g. as stipulated in new customer feedback date field in CRM tool)
- Escalation to Tier 3
Key Skills/Experience Required:

Software Engineer - India (New Delhi)
Salary 6-10 Lakh per annum dependent on experience
The position will include involvement and growing responsibility of all aspects of the life cycle of a software project.
We have to be able to move fast to keep up with developments in the marketplace and there is the always scope for learning new skills. It’s a chance to get exposure to a wide variety of signalling protocols.
You will share in the process of planning and developing, involving: bug fixing, providing technical backup to the support team, design, defining tests and new software development.
Ideally we want someone to grow and develop with the company. We tend to do a lot of short-term projects so there is a lot of variety. We have to be flexible and there are no fixed boundaries to the role.
Minimum Requirements:
- C/C++
- 2 years programming experience
Desirable:
- Good Knowledge of IP/SIP/TCP/UDP/RTP/RTCP
The majority of the software stacks are written and maintained in-house, however there is the need to integrate 3rd party hardware within the products and that will be part of the role as well.
Protocols supported are:
- VoIP: SIP and H.323
- TDM signalling: SS7 (ISUP, IUP, TUP, SCCP, etc), ISDN, R2, etc
- Media gateway control: MGCP and MEGACO (H.248)
- Various others for management: SNMP, RADIUS, some database stuff
