Admin Assistant
Dorchester based global telecommunications equipment provider, requires an Admin Assistant to support the Finance & Administration Departments.
Playing a vital role within a very busy team, you will need to be numerate and computer literate with a good level of experience in Microsoft Office. In addition you should possess a good telephone manner and be able to work well under pressure.

Finance Officer
Full or Part-Time, Dorchester, Dorset
Dorchester based global telecommunications equipment provider require an experienced Finance Officer.
Responsible for day to day maintenance of the accounting system, organising and maintaining information on job costings, wages, invoicing and all other areas of expense to the business.
In addition role to include monthly preparation and analysis of management accounts, cash-flow, credit control and budgeting.
With the ability to communicate with people at all levels, the candidate will want to be part of an expanding dynamic business.
Software Engineer
The ideal candidate will be a graduate with an excellent working knowledge of 'C'.
The position will include involvement and growing responsibility of all aspects of the life cycle of a software project.
We have to be able to move fast to keep up with developments in the marketplace and there is the always scope for learning new skills. It’s a chance to get exposure to a wide variety of signalling protocols.
You will share in the process of planning and developing, involving: bug fixing, providing technical backup to the support team, design, defining tests and new software development.
Ideally we want someone to grow and develop with the company. We tend to do a lot of short-term projects so there is a lot of variety. We have to be flexible and there are no fixed boundaries to the role.
The majority of the software stacks are written and maintained in-house, however there is the need to integrate 3rd party hardware within the products and that will be part of the role as well.
The main product is a carrier grade SoftSwitch. Protocols supported are:
- VoIP: SIP and H.323
- TDM signalling: SS7 (ISUP, IUP, TUP, SCCP, etc), ISDN, R2, etc
- Media gateway control: MGCP and MEGACO (H.248)
- Various others for management: SNMP, RADIUS, some database stuff
Any telecom's experience would be a valuable asset. This position is open to both new graduates and experienced engineers.

Job Description
The Software Engineer shall report into the Senior Software Engineer.
The role will cover all aspects of the software development lifecycle:
- Requirements capture.
- Software design. The employee shall be required to produce written design specifications to meet specified requirements.
- Writing test specifications.
- Software development. The software implementation will be mostly in the ‘C’ programming language but other languages may be used as, and where appropriate.
- Performing unit testing.
- Analysing and diagnosing faults in existing products.
- Bug fixing.
- Provide written and verbal reports to management on project status.
It shall be the responsibility of the employee to ensure that their work is done in accordance with the company quality procedures, particularly in the following main areas:
- Software release.
- Software testing.
- Source code control.
- Updating of support Cases within the CRM system.
The role does require a certain amount of flexibility and shall not exclusively be restricted to the software development process. Additional responsibilities shall include things such as:
- Providing technical backup to the support, installation and production teams.
- Assisting in the writing of product user documentation.
- From time to time the employee may be required to undertake on-site visits to assist with support and installation issues.
