- SS7 linksets can be a combination of SS7 TDM and IP links for maximum flexibility
- Offload traffic onto cost-efficient IP networks conserving bandwidth on expensive TDM networks
- Full support for IETF’s SIGTRAN standards M2UA, M2PA, M3UA, SUA
Private SS7 Networks
Deploying the SVI-STP into an existing SS7 network allows an operator to generate its own “Virtual Point Codes” for transparent single carrier PC interconnect and provision of “private SS7 networks” providing :-
- Costs savings by not having to purchase expensive incumbent carriers Point Codes
- Accelerated network deployment – the provision of additional Point Codes and inter-op testing is managed by the operator
CNAM/LNP Revenue Generation
With a centralized STP controlling the signaling, ‘inline dipping’ of AIN services enables previously unsupported switches to access CNAM and LNP dips directly from the providers network at significantly reduced rates.
Managing a single SS7 interconnect enables the provision of ‘inline dipping’ with obvious cost savings as well accelerating future network development.
Intelligent Routing
Offering routing at SS7 MTP/SCCP, allowing the transparent transport of higher layer SS7 ISUP, MAP and TCAP traffic.
SCCP
- ITUT Q711-Q714
- JT-Q711-G714
- ETSI ETS 300 589
- ANSI T1.112

SCCP Routing
- Routing on incoming SCCP label
- Called and Calling
- GT, PC, SSN
- NOA, etc
- Variant Translation Outgoing SCCP label manipulation
- Translate routing variant
(GT > PC+SN, etc)
MTP Routing
- Route on MTP label
- Originating and Destination Pointcode
- Network Indicator
- SIO

Gateway Screening
Provides operators the ability to examine all incoming and outgoing messages against pre-defined rules. The end result is that either a message is routed or discarded. Gateway Screening is performed on the following MSU parameters.
MTP3 screening
- Service indicator
- Affected PC in management messages
- Origination point code
- Destination point code
SCCP screening – Called Party
- Encoding scheme
- Global title indicator
- Nature of address indicator
- Numbering plan
- Point code
- Subsystem number
- Translation type
Calling party
- Encoding scheme
- Global title indicator
- Nature of address indicator
- Numbering plan
- Point code
- Subsystem number
- Translation type
SCCP management screening
- Affected point code
- Affected subsystem number
Flexible MSU Record Capture
The SVI-STP provides a flexible mechanism for the capture of all MSU messaging storing as :-
- ASCII based MSU records configurable
- ASCII based CDRs
- Store MSU details in SQL database
Allows operators to perform Billing Reconciliation, Network Analysis etc
Physical Interconnect
