SVI Functionality
Squire's SVI VoIP and SS7 products offer specialist functionality across the range. Please see below for the functionality available.
- The SVI Range of VoIP products supports Cisco SS7 over IP in a software only product. This precludes the need for additional high expense for network administrators with legacy Cisco equipment.
- CNAM (Calling NAMe) is an Intelligent Network service which allows delivery to the subscriber of the calling party number and a readable calling name in digital readout, identifying the caller to the called party. This service enables carriers to offer their customers the more detailed and comprehensive call information that they require.
- High Availability equipment is specially designed to eliminate single point of failures to ensure the continuation of service in the event that a hardware or software resource fails with the system.
The most common and effective way to provide high availability is to provide a dual plane architecture.
