The SVI-HSS Home Subscriber Server serves as the primary database repository of subscriber information, providing registration and authentication of mobile subscribers in an LTE/EPC or IMS network.
Primary Database Repository
An HSS serves as the primary database repository of subscriber information within an LTE / EPC or IMS network core. By centralising all the subscriber information in a single place it allows the signalling to be separated from policy providing a stream lined, high performing network.
The SVI-HSS product primarily provides registration and authentication of mobile subscribers in an EPC network. It provides subscriber policy, registration and authentication as well as tracking subscriber mobility by acting as a real time location repository. It communicates primarily with MME’s / SGSN’s using the Diameter protocol.
Rationalise Provides centralisation of subscriber details in one logical place.
Cost Effective Rapidly extend or replace existing subscriber databases.
Scalable Start small with a single virtual instance and scale to meet demand.
Powerful API's Allow all functions to be interfaced by OSS / BSS over SOAP
Cost Effective Rapidly extend or replace existing subscriber databases.
Multi-tenancy Support on the same deployment and multiple network appearances within the same tenant.
HSS Protocol Compliance
Fully compliant data-model/protocol with 3GPP Release 12 standard, designed and tested for multi-vendor environments.
S6a/S6d implementation is compliant with - TS 29.272 v12.8.0 (Sep 2015) - TS 23.401 v12.8.0 (Sep 2015)
